Founded in 1992, after Los Angeles
Operation HOPE began on May 5, 1992, in the days after the civil unrest in Los Angeles. Its founder, John Hope Bryant, still leads it as Founder, Chairman and CEO.
The idea then is the work now: financial literacy is a civil-rights issue, and dignity grows when people understand money and have someone in their corner.
